Gilbertfield Medical Centre is seeking an Independent Nurse Prescriber to join our small, friendly team. Ideally full time but would consider 2 part time nurses. The ideal candidate would be a Nurse Prescriber able to deal with minor ailments such as chest infection etc. CDM, cytology, family planning and phlebotomy and other general nursing duties.
We have 4 Doctors, an Independent Nurse Prescriber, Practice Manager and admin team. We also have attached Pharmacists, Community Links Practitioner, Family Well Being Officer, District Nurses and Health Visitors. We have around 5300 patient and are an EMIS/Docman practice.
All candidates should have a valid NMC registration and have excellent communication skills along with good IT skills. Professional skills are essential.
We are in the East End of Glasgow with great motorway links.
Salary dependant on experience.

We are a four Partner GP training practice with an existing team consisting of Nursing, Health Care, Physio and Salaried GPs.The desired candidate would ideally be an experienced GPN & preferably a qualified prescriber, but training will be provided for the right candidate. They should be a highly motivated team player with excellent communication and organisational skills. They would work closely with the current care team and an ability to demonstrate clinical thinking and deliver high quality patient focused care.The post’s focus will be on delivering a high standard of care for patients with long term chronic conditions as well as the ability to perform cervical screening, have a knowledge of sexual health / reproductive services / HRT would be desired, however the practice would support training towards this if required.We are ideally looking for someone to join us 2 days per week (there is a degree of flexibility with the days & the start date).Salary will be dependent on experience, annual leave will be 6 weeks pro-rata and you will be added to the SPPA pension scheme.

A qualified prescriber who can deal with minor ailments in addition to the usual duties would be considered advantageous but is not essential.
