  • Vacancy Details: Ailsa Surgery is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic part time Practice Nurse to join our experienced team. We are based within modern premises with private parking in Kinning Park, Glasgow. We have a list size of approximately 2000 patients. We are supported by DNs, phlebotomists, health visitor, a prescribing support pharmacist and treatment room services.
    All applicants should hold a valid NMC registration an Enhanced Disclosure and be eligible to work in the UK. Ideally candidates should have certified training in chronic disease management i.e. Asthma, Diabetes and COPD and also be proficient in cervical cytology and sexual health/family planning within a GP setting. The successful candidate would be expected to have good communication, IT skills and maintain a high standard of record keeping and confidentiality. The systems used within the practice are EMIS and Docman.
    Salary will be commensurate with experience and post holder will be entitled to join the SPPA Pension scheme. Hours are negotiable.

Practice Nurse, Forge Medical Practice

  • Vacancy Details: Forge Medical Practice are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly GP Practice. The post will include general nursing duties, chronic disease management and cervical screening. It is desirable that candidates should have the appropriate skills to apply for this position but also important to note that some training can be provided if required.
    All applicants should hold valid NMC registration and be eligible to work in the UK. They should also have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills as well as a willingness to work collaboratively and be an active part of our clinical team. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

    Forge Medical Practice have roughly 5000 Patients registered with us. Our team currently comprises of 2 GP Partners, three salaried GPs, one Practice Nurse and one HCA, in addition to a large and efficient administration team. Our practices also benefit from an extensive multi- disciplinary team including Pharmacotherapy, Physiotherapy, Community Link Worker. We are an EMIS/DOCMAN practice.
    It would be advantageous for any candidates with primary care experience to apply but this is not essential, and training will be provided if required. Skills to participate in chronic disease management areas is desirable with scope to develop further clinical interests too. The candidate should have an ability to operate independently as well as work well within a close team.Benefits include NHS pension and holiday / leave entitlements of 6 weeks pro rota in addition to bank/public holidays.NMC registration and up to date revalidation with good IT and communication skills are also required.

Practice Nurse, Gilbertfield Medical Centre

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Practice Nurse, able to deal with Chronic Disease Management, cytology, family planning, ear irrigation, occasional dressings, phlebotomy and other general nursing duties.
    We have 4 Doctors, an Independent Nurse Prescriber, Practice Manager and admin team. We also have attached Pharmacists, Community Links Practitioner, Family Well Being Officer, District Nurses and Health Visitors. We have around 5300 patients and are an EMIS/Docman practice.

Practice Nurses, The Village Practice

  • Vacancy Details: The Village Practice are looking to appoint a forward thinking innovative Practice Nurse for 24 hours over 3 days to join our friendly and supportive team based within Thornliebank Health Centre in the Southside of Glasgow. We are a GP Training Practice with a list size of 8800 patients.
    The successful candidate will be joining a team of 2 GP Partners, Salaried GPs, GP Registrars, FY2, ANP, Practice Nurse & supported by an experienced Admin team, Practice Manager & attached DNs, Health Visitors, Community Links Worker and Prescribing Support Pharmacist. In addition we have treatment room and phlebotomy services within the Health Centre.
    The applicant should be NMC registered and an up to date Enhanced Disclosure. Preferably candidates should have certified training in Chronic disease management, essential to this post is certified training in Cervical cytology, family planning & sexual health within a GP setting and should be able to create and run CDM recall systems using MJOG, the post requires proficiency in patient education & health promotion.
    The candidate will be expected to maintain a high standard of record keeping & confidentiality, have excellent communication skills and be expected to work within an established friendly and supportive team. In addition will be expected to maintain a high level of competency and contribute to the ongoing progression of our GP Training Practice.
    Our current IT System is EMIS/DOCMAN.
    Experience – must be NMC registered (RN) previous experience within a primary care setting is essential. Ability to work independently, proficiency in CDM and general clinical procedures.
    Salary will be dependent on experience, will be eligible to join SPPA Pension scheme. Working days will be Wed, Thurs & Friday –starting time 8am, one of which by arrangement will be 7.30am.
