Due to a planned retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work with us at Barony Medical Centre as our Administration Supervisor. We are looking for an approachable, tactful, empathetic and friendly candidate with excellent communication and organisational skills. Our new Administration Supervisor will provide support for the reception staff and wider Practice Team, as well as remaining focused on our high standards of patient care.

As our new Administration Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of reception staff and their associated duties. You will ensure all tasks are completed in line with agreed Practice procedures, protocols, and timescales, reporting to the Practice Manager as required. You will assist in supporting with Complaints Handling, Enhanced Services, Recruitment and HR.

We are a Practice who use Vision Hosted and DOCMAN and experience of these IT systems is essential.

The Practice consists of 5 partners, two Practice Nurses, HCA, a Link Worker, Welfare Advisor, an excellent Administration Team, attached District Nursing, Pharmacotherapy Service, and Health Visitors. The Practice also has access to the HSCP Treatment room and Phlebotomy Service. You will be the point of contact for both external staff visiting the Practice and provide support for GP’s, nurses, management, and reception staff.

The main areas of responsibility and qualities required for the role are outlined within the job description and person specification attached to this advert. While we do not expect the successful candidate to be an expert in all areas shown withing the job specification, we do expect them to be confident in managing staff and to have the knowledge and experience to do the job.

Hours per week: 28 hours per week shifts across the week, including early starts 8:00 am and finishes up to 6:00 pm. Normally these hours will be worked over 4 days.

Must be flexible to cover holidays and absences.
