We are currently looking to employ a temporary enthusiastic and reliable Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join our friendly and organised team until May 2025. This is a 23.5 hour/week role, Mon 8.30-12noon, Tues 8.30-12noon, Wed 1.30-5pm, Thurs 8-6pm and Fri 1.30-5pm. This role requires excellent communication and IT skills with attention to detail as well as previous experience in a fast paced patient or customer facing role. You must be able to work under pressure, adapt in busy and unpredictable situations whilst upholding patient confidentiality at all times. An ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment is key. Previous experience in a GP or healthcare setting and with GP computer systems (Vision and Docman) is desirable, however, full training will be provided to the right candidate. The role will include dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone, processing prescriptions and mail, booking and cancelling appointments, ‘signposting’ patients to the appropriate service, phoning hospitals, and many other administrative duties.
An ability to work under pressure at times whilst remaining calm in all aspects of work is required along with flexibility to change hours, possibly at short notice to cover when colleagues are on leave. Most training is in-house and online.

An ability to work under pressure at times whilst remaining calm in all aspects of work is required along with flexibility to change hours, possibly at short notice to cover when colleagues are on leave. The role is challenging at times but rewarding and we have a great team here at Brackenbrae.
