Salaried GP, Kinfauns Medical Practice

Kinfauns Medical Practice is keen to recruit a 6 session salaried GP due to planned workforce expansion. Job sharing would be considered, as would lower sessional requests, on an individual basis.

We are a friendly practice based in Drumchapel Health Centre. We are a 2 partner practice with a list size of 3000 patients.

We are supported by an enthusiastic and experienced practice manager, a 3 receptionist administrative team, HCA and regular practice nurse slots. We are also supported by an excellent pharmacy team and community link worker, and affiliated with a competent district nursing and health visitor team, with whom we have a great working relationship. We have an active cluster group who work well together advocating for the local community.

We have good public transport access as well as parking facilities, and lots of food options in the immediate facility.

Being a Deep End Practice there is a golden hello payment on joining from the health board. We follow a BMA compliant working day and contracts, abiding by the 25 patient appointment recommendations and 15 minute consultations. We use EMIS and Docman and have a very low house visit number. Being a small practice size we also do not use duty doctor systems and share acute prescriptions request/enquiries and housecalls democratically- this has always worked well and continues to do so with no plans for change. We are also very involved in undergraduate training, with regular University of Glasgow medical student placements at the practice.

We offer very competitive and BMA approved annual rates per session for salaried staff.
