Situated in the vibrant East End of Glasgow in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
We are a GMS Practice.
Our patient population is richly diverse with significant social complexity of genuinely meaningful general practice with real clinical depth.
We are a medical student placement teaching practice with a culture of teaching reflection and continuous improvement.
Role
We are seeking a motivated patient centred GP to join our team on a salaried basis initially with a clear and supportive pathway to Partnership for the right candidate. You will work within a skilled multi-disciplinary team of 6 doctors, pharmacists and social prescribing link workers. Clinical work covers the full breadth of primary care including complex multi-morbidity, mental health, women’s health and deprivation related illness. Special interests in various areas are most welcome and can be accommodated within your job plan. We have a large number of students.
Partnership Pathway
We believe in growing Partners from within. This pathway is not a vague promise but a structured commitment involving orientation and integration, salaried GP duties and a transparent structured review against agreed criteria for a Partnership Readiness assessment.
Personal Specification
Full GMC registration with licence to practice, CCT in General Practice or equivalent RCGP membership on performance list for Scotland
- Commitment to NHS inner city general practice
- Strong consultation skills and clinical reasoning
- Team player with collaborative working style
- Enthusiasm for teaching or supervision (desirable)
- Interest in quality improvement and audits (desirable)
- Experience with complex social presentation
- IT proficiency
- Fluency in English
- Additional language is an asset
- Satisfactory PVG check via Disclosure Scotland
