Part Time Practice Nurse, Drs Macdonald & Mitchell Partnership

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic part-time General Practice Nurse for a minimum of 16 hours over 2 days (days and hours negotiable for the right candidate).The role will include all General Practice Nursing, including long term Chronic Disease Management and experience of Cervical Cytology. A prescribing qualification would also be beneficial although not essential. They should have up to date clinical skills and knowledge to deliver high quality patient centre care. This role may suit someone already established in another role, looking to take on extra hours. Alternatively we may be able to accommodate a registered nurse that would be interested in General Practice Nurse Training via NES.

The ideal candidate will work closely with our primary care team which consists of 2 GP Partners, 1 General Practice Nurse, 1 salaried GP and 1 Long term locum. We are also supported by the Clinical Pharmacy Team, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, community links worker, CPN’s and are also part of a very collaborative GP Cluster. Our practice population is approximately 4000 patients and we are currently using EMIS and Docman (migration to VISION in OCT/NOV 26

All applicants should hold valid NMC registration, be up to date with revalidation and be eligible to work in the UK. Rate of pay commensurate with experience and negotiable for the right candidate subject to employment references and enhanced disclosure.

We are a well-established, friendly two partner practice which is one of three located within Port Glasgow Health Centre, which is situated within view of the River Clyde with easily commutable links to Glasgow and the Cowal Peninsula.
