Practice Nurse, Riverview Medical Centre

Riverview Medical Centre are looking to recruit a proactive and motivated Practice Nurse to join our welcoming and supportive Practice in Renfrewshire. We have three partners and two salaried GPs with a current list size of 5,800 patients. We have several other health care professionals working in the Practice including Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Phlebotomy and Healthcare Assistant.

Hours:
-16 hours initially with a view to increasing to 20 hours per week as our patient list size grows. The working pattern and the days worked are negotiable but we will need an 8am start both working days.

The ideal candidate will have:
– NMC registration with up-to-date revalidation
– Experience working as a Practice Nurse within a GP setting (desirable)
– Independent Prescribing qualification (desirable)
– Experience in Chronic Disease Management (desirable)
– Proficient in cervical cytology and health promotion
– Excellent communication skills and a patient centered approach to patient care
– IT skills (we are using Vision 3 and Docman and are very happy to provide training in both) and managing results

Salary will be dependent upon experience and qualifications. Informal visits or phone calls are welcomed.
