Part-Time Practice Nurse Vacancy

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly team and work alongside our current Practice Nurse, who will be retiring in March 2027.

This is initially a part-time position, providing an excellent opportunity for a smooth handover and induction period. Following the retirement of our current nurse, the role will have the potential to become full-time, working 4 days per week.

We are a small, friendly GP practice serving approximately 2,000 patients, where we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a welcoming community environment.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will undertake the full range of Practice Nurse duties, including:

Docman
Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma and COPD)
Cervical screening
Wound care and dressings
Health promotion and lifestyle advice
Phlebotomy
NHS health checks
Infection prevention and control
Other duties normally expected of a Practice Nurse within a GP surgery

We are looking for someone who:
Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Has experience working in primary care (preferred, but not essential depending on experience)
Has excellent communication and organisational skills
Works well independently and as part of a small team
Is committed to providing high-quality patient care
