Southbank Surgery is a well-established, patient-focused GP practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare to our local community. There is an opportunity for a dynamic GP Practice Manager to lead a 5 partner training practice of 7200 patients at Southbank Surgery.
About the role:
The Practice Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the surgery, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and effective management of staff and resources. Working closely with the GP partners and wider practice team, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing the practice and supporting future challenges within primary care.
Salary: £50-£60k dependent on experience generous holidays + NHS Pension Membership.
We need someone who is adaptive and flexible in approach, good at handling change and enabling staff to do the same, a skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who will provide leadership, enabling the practice to develop, while overseeing the management of the practice day to day and providing stability.
The successful candidate will need strong management experience including financial management, strong organisational and prioritising skills, leadership and IT skills.
Responsibilities:
– Overseeing the daily business of the practice
– Managing all practice staff
– Managing day to day issues and long term planning
– Managing the surgery payroll, budget and accounts
– Developing a business strategy in line with practice operations
– Dealing with patient feedback
– Introducing and managing change
– Leading and assuring on quality improvement initiatives
– Delivering excellent day to day service to our patients
– Training of existing and new staff
– Recruiting new staff members
