Practice Nurse, Denbridge Medical Practice

Due to retirement Denbridge Medical Practice are looking to recruit an experienced Practice Nurse on a part-time basis.

We are a friendly, well-established GP practice located in Bearsden with a genuinely close and supportive multidisciplinary team. We pride ourselves on creating a positive working environment where everyone’s contribution is valued, ideas are welcomed and professional development is actively encouraged. We have a current list size of 9,600. We use EMIS and Docman systems within the practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate practice nurse to work collaboratively with our GPs and wider team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:
• Chronic disease management (incl. diabetes, CHD, Stroke, Asthma, COPD)
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Cervical screening
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives within the nursing service
• Supporting teaching practice for GP Specialty Trainees.

We are looking for someone who:
• Is a registered nurse with a valid NMC registration
• Has experience in a primary care setting or a strong interest in developing within this setting
• Demonstrates a passion for chronic disease management and preventative healthcare
• Is motivated to contribute to the ongoing development of our nursing service
• Is confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills

This is a permanent position for 18hrs per week, split over 4 days. Day are negotiable but hours will be 0830 – 1300.
