Practice Nurse, Locum Basis – Part Time, Ailsa Surgery

Ailsa Surgery is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic long-term locum Practice Nurse to join our experienced team, working 2 sessions (8 hours) each week. The post will become available at the beginning of October.
We are based within modern premises with private parking in Kinning Park, Glasgow. We have a list size of approximately 1900 patients. We are supported by DNs, phlebotomists, health visitor, a prescribing support pharmacist and treatment room services.
It is essential that the nurse has experience of working as a Practice Nurse in General Practice.
All applicants should hold a valid NMC registration an Enhanced Disclosure and be eligible to work in the UK. Candidates should have experience in chronic disease management i.e. Asthma, Diabetes and COPD and also be proficient in cervical cytology and sexual health/family planning within a GP setting. The successful candidate would be expected to have good communication, IT skills and maintain a high standard of record keeping and confidentiality. The systems used within the practice are EMIS and Docman.
