Newark Medical Practice, Port Glasgow are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our supportive and friendly team. Qualification in prescribing is advantageous but not essential.
Our current team comprises of 3 Partners, 1 Salaried Doctor, Practice Manager, Office Manager and several administrative / reception employees.
The practice is well supported by the HSCP, allowing access to an onsite treatment room facility and a further CTAC facility, providing accessible and quality CDM.
Cluster funding provides us with Pharmacy support, a Community Links Worker and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner service, who carry out home visits on our behalf.
Our list size is just over 4000 and we have an excellent reputation with positive patient feedback.
We are located within Port Glasgow Health Centre with access to parking facilities, many shops and other facilities.
We are an experienced GP training practice and currently support two GPST and a new Health Equity ST next year.
We further support medical students from the University of Glasgow from Year 2-5
We have a strong commitment to medical education and actively participate in QI through our Cluster.
Your role will be in chronic disease management, nursing care, health screening such as CV DES, women’s health including cervical screening, contraception and HRT reviews.
This is a part time position with hours negotiable. We are happy to discuss the working week and salary will be dependent on experience.
