Practice Nurse, Pinecroft Medical Practice

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 5 Practice Nurse to join our team.

We are a friendly, well-established GP practice with a genuinely close and supportive multidisciplinary team. We pride ourselves on creating a positive working environment where everyone’s contribution is valued, ideas are welcomed and professional development is actively encouraged.

We are a split-site, GMS, GP Training practice serving a population of approximately 7300 patients between our main site at Croftfoot and our branch within the New Gorbals Health and Care Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate nurse to work collaboratively with our GPs and wider team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:
• Chronic disease management (incl. diabetes, CHD, Stroke, Asthma, COPD)
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Cervical screening
• Ad-hoc wound care and other treatment room duties (mostly provided by external community clinics)
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives within the nursing service
• Supporting teaching practice for GP Specialty Trainees and senior medical students

We are looking for someone who:
• Is a registered nurse with a valid NMC registration
• Has experience in a primary care setting or a strong interest in developing within this setting
• Demonstrates a passion for chronic disease management and preventative healthcare
• Is motivated to contribute to the ongoing development of our nursing service
• Is confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
