Edinburgh Road surgery is a well-established and friendly GP practice with a list size of 6500 patients in the East end of Glasgow. The practice consists of 3 GP Partners, 2 practice nurses, HCSW and an excellent admin team. We are supported by a practice pharmacist, district nurses, health visitors, pharmacy hub, phlebotomy services, community links worker, GEMAP and the local treatment rooms.
We are looking for an organised and highly motivated GP on a long term locum basis to work with us over the next 6-12 months. Responsibilities will include a mixture of clinics (10 minute appointments, 12 face to face and 4 telephone), as well as GP on call sessions (telephone triage, acute scripts & house visits). 6 Session Maternity Locum, Strathgryffe Medical Practice

- Vacancy Detail: Strathgryffe Medical Practice is a split site GP Practice covering Houston and Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire.The Practice is currently offering an exciting opportunity for a 1 year Maternity Locum from 03/06/2025. This will be a 6 session post, days of cover will be a Tue 08.30am-6pm, Thursday 08.30am-6pm and Friday 08.30am-6pm.We are a friendly practice in the leafy suburb of Houston/Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire. We have a patient list size of Aprox 11,000. The successful applicant will join our existing team of 3 x GP Partners, 5 x Salaried GP’s, an experienced ANP and two very experienced Practice Nurses. We are a training Practice and provide training for all levels of Trainee GP’s. Our Administrative team are supported by a Practice Manager and Deputy Practice Manager.
The clinical roll at Strathgryffe Medical Practice includes of a mix model of both Telephone and face to face 15 minute appointments. The clinical systems used in Practice are Emis/Docman. You will also have a share of the Special Request Acute medication requests. There can be some occasions where there may be a requirement to attend home-visits. The practice administration team follow the workflow optimisation protocol, therefore reducing the amount of Docman workflow our GP team receive. You will however receive a share of the workflow letters that the administration team cannot deal with.

Long term Locum – Maternity Leave Cover, Northcote Surgery

- Vacancy Detail: Northcote Surgery based in the West-End of Glasgow is looking for a locum to cover maternity leave. This position will be for 10-12 months and for 6-7 sessions per week. We are flexible regarding what days this will be, however would have to take into account our room availability and maintain good coverage throughout the week. The post will include a mix of both regular routine sessions and duty doctor sessions (duty doctor involves triage calls, signing of prescriptions, special request acute medication requests, and a requirement to attend housecalls).
Northcote Surgery provides a dedicated and personalised service to our growing 12,000+ patient list. We are a friendly, high achieving training practice with a multidisciplinary clinical team consisting of 6 GP Partners, 3 assistant GP’s, 2 GP trainees, 2 Nurses, and 1 HCA. In addition we have a large, strong management and administrative team to support both patients and staff. To augment our clinical offering we also have Pharmacy and Physiotherapy support based in the surgery. The clinical systems used in Practice are Emis/Docman.
