Part-time Practice Nurse, Sandyford GP Surgery

  We are a looking for an experienced practice nurse to join our friendly team. We are based in Finnieston, Glasgow. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, empathy and the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. The post will be 16 hours per week, Monday all day, Tuesday morning and Friday morning, salary commensurate with experience. The post will primarily involve long-term condition management in addition to cervical screening and general nursing care. We have 3 partners, 2 salaried doctors, 1 practice nurse, 2 Health Care Assistants and a very supportive admin team. Systems used currently are Emis and docman. Practice Nurse, Dr Day & DR Raja

• Vacancy Details: An enthusiastic and motivated practice nurse is sought for a small friendly training practice in Glasgow. Hours can be negotiable. We are looking for a nurse who is organised and can work independently to start in around August, the earliest date being preferable. We are a high achieving practice located in a health centre and comprise 2 GPs with attached health visitors, treatment room and district nurses. Duties would include chronic disease management, cervical screening, immunisation, phlebotomy and health promotion. Experience in practice nursing is desirable but training can be provided if necessary. A more experienced candidate would have the opportunity for triage, prescribing and teaching.
