About the Role:
Keppoch Medical Practice is looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Administration Assistant, to join our busy, dedicated and friendly team. The post will be for 37 hours per week with the successful candidate being available to work the following shift pattern: Monday 8am-3pm, Tuesday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-5pm Thursday 8am-3pm and Friday 8am-4pm. Salary starting from £25,634 pro rata.

This role requires excellent communication and IT skills as well as previous experience in a patient or customer facing role. You must be able to work under pressure, adapt in busy and unpredictable situations, whilst upholding patient confidentiality at all times.

Previous experience in a GP or healthcare setting and with GP computer systems (currently EMIS and Docman) are desirable. However, full training will be provided to the right candidate.

The role will include dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone, processing prescriptions and mail, booking and cancelling appointments, ‘signposting’ patients to the appropriate service, phoning hospitals, other services and many other administrative duties.

About the Practice:
We have four GP Partners and two salaried GPs looking after a growing list size of around 4000 patients in the Possilpark area of Glasgow. We are a deep end practice and part of the Possilpark and Milton cluster. We are based in modern health centre premises.

You would be joining an experienced team including a strong clinical and admin team, attached pharmacist, embedded financial inclusion worker, community links worker and family wellbeing worker. We are also a longstanding accredited GP training practice.
