We have an opening to replace our Practice Nurse following 24 years with the practice. We are seeking an equally motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse who would like to come and work with us. You will work in a supportive environment alongside a friendly hardworking team. We are supported by 2 GP Partners, Practice Manager, Senior Receptionist along with a small admin team and Community Pharmacist.

The role is part-time , working between 13-15 hours per week at times to negotiated with our incoming Practice Nurse. Hourly rate is £25.50. We would like to encourage a good work life balance for our new Practice Nurse.

You will have experience in chronic disease management, cytology , blood pressure monitoring, wound management, phlebotomy and other general nursing duties . Our Practice Nurse will encourage patient education and advice on health promotion, chronic disease management and family planning. This may be face to face appointments or telephone consultations. You will be experienced in managing and triaging patient calls whilst working to clinical protocols and procedures to ensure best practice. We use EMIS, Docman and Mjog.

You should be a Registered nurse with NMC registration along with being an Independent Nurse Prescriber. Within your role it is important to have strong communication skills. You should have the ability to work both independently and part of a small team.
Our practice is committed to ensuring we provide high quality care to our patients at the practice. We are a teaching practice and you will be regularly involved with our trainees and students. We see this is as a valuable part of our training programmes.
