Barony Medical Centre located in Springburn are looking to recruit a locum, covering long term sick leave. We are a 2 minute drive from the M8 Junction 15 with on-site car parking. Our IT system is Vision (hosted platform and Windows 11) and Docman.
We are a welcoming, friendly and supportive practice working from custom built premises and our practice list is approximately 5800 patients. The Practice has a small on-site “Gym” and has easy access to Tesco, Lidl, Costco and local coffee shops.
The Practice consists of 5 partners, two Practice Nurses, HCSW and full excellent Administration Team. This role is not suitable for remote working.
We are also supported by attached Pharmacy Team, District Nurses, Health Visitors, Community Link Worker and Welfare Rights Officer who can help with finance and benefits matters. The ideal locum will be a well-motivated, organised individual who works to a high standard and will fit into our friendly practice team.
The Practice also have access to the HSCP Treatment room and Phlebotomy Service. We provide services to a local Care Home covered under LES agreement. We are a Training Practice and currently have 2 GP Registrars working with us.
The cover is for July / August / September 2026 and consist of 4 – 6 Sessions per week over 3 day, two of these sessions must be on a Friday and preferrable for a Thursday too, to allow additional flexibility at the end of the week.
We offer 15 minute appointments (maximum of 12 per session), we have a low home visit rate, these are triaged prior to acceptance. We have weekly clinical coffee meetings, monthly education meetings and we meet for lunch daily.
We would welcome newly qualified GP’s who will be supported by all clinical staff as well as GP’s with more experience looking for a change.
